Kevin Plawecki was on-fire during his stay in Binghamton.  Earlier this week he got the call to advance to Triple-A Las Vegas.  In his debut with the 51's last night he went 1-4 but that one hit was the big one.  Plawecki homered to tie the game versus Sacramento in the ninth inning.  In 11 innings Sacramento ended up winning 7-5.

Plawecki was hitting .326 with 6 home runs during his stay in Binghamnton.  Las Vegas is in the Pacific Coast League's Pacific Southern Division and is in first place with a record of 47-33.  The 51's are 7-3 in their last ten games and have a ten game lead over El Paso.

Other recent recalls from Binghamton are doing well in Las Vegas.  Shortstop Matt Reynolds has played in seven games and is 10-24 at the plate for a .417 batting average.  Outfielder Cory Vaughn has played in 20 games and is hitting .284 going 21-74.
