Pennsylvania May Charge Fee For Removal of Water
Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, John Arway says he is looking at the possibility of charged a new fee on water extrated by industry that is permanently removed from the enviornment.
While the move would likely impact the natural gas drilling industry the greatest, Arway did not indicate that environmental concerns were driving the possible action. Instead, Arway says he is considering options for reducing a projected $9 million budget shortfall in 2017.
