Village of Johnson City Police say a Great Bend, Pennsylvania man faces a long list of charges after refusing to stop the vehicle he was driving on Harrison Street near Corliss Avenue December 5.  Police say a patrol Officer noticed a vehicle commit a traffic infraction at 8:15 p.m. and attempted to pull the vehicle over.

The driver continued on, finally pulling over on Grand Avenue.

37 year old Craig Anderson got out of the vehicle and ran from the officer while a woman in the vehicle also got out and walked away.  She was quickly located but not charged.

Anderson reportedly ran through back yards on Grand Avenue and threw packages of heroin, zip-top bags containing methamphetamine and a set of brass knuckles.

Police say when they caught up to him on Allen Street near Grand Avenue, he fought with the Officer before being put into custody.

Anderson is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony tampering with evidence, misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, obstructing governmental administration, criminal possession of a weapon and aggravated unlicensed operation as well as traffic infractions of failure to comply with officers and uninspected motor vehicle.  Police say they also found Anderson was a fugitive from justice in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania where he was charged with escape.
