The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is offering a new online service for customers to order duplicate non-commercial driver’s license or photo identification if theirs is lost or stolen.

PennDOT Secretary Barry Schoch says the program is another example of online services saving time by offering the convenience of completing transactions from home.

There are no additional fees for online transactions.  Customers will be charged the standard $13.50 fee to their credit card for the new product.

Customers looking for a duplicate must provide their driver’s license or ID card number, the last four digits of their Social Security number and date of birth.

Online customers can print a temporary internet copy of their license to use until the new photo license arrives in the mail. The temporary license is good for 15 days.

To access all PennDOT driver and vehicle transactions, customers can visit www.dmv.state.pa.us and click on ‘online driver and vehicle services.’
