The Penn Quakers downed the Binghamton Bearcats in men's basketball action December 6 at the Events Center at Binghamton University by a final score of 79-70.  It was the second consecutive victory for the University of Pa. putting their record at 2-5.  The Bearcats fall to 1-8 and 0-2 all-time versus Penn.

The Quakers had five players score in double figures and were paced by guard Tony Hicks who scored a game-high 18 points.  Binghamton had Dusan Perovic lead the way with 16 points.  Perovic had hit for a school single game record 34 points Wednesday at Boston University.  Willie Rodriguez also hit for double figures with 13 points while Romello Walker notched 12 points.

Penn shot 51 per cent from the floor and struck for nine 3-point buckets.  The Bearcats hit 36 per cent of their shots and were 11-29 in three-point field goals.

BU has little time to prepare for their next outing which is Monday night at 7 versus Caldwell.  Binghamton then travels to Colgate Thursday night at 7 and then on to Boston College for a 1 PM contest next Sunday.
