Pedestrian Killed on Turkey Hill Road in Dryden

New York State Police say a Dryden man who was walking in the road, wearing dark clothing and pushing a bicycle is dead after being hit by a vehicle January 29.

The 54-year-old man was hit by a northbound car driven by a 25-year-old Ithaca woman on Turkey Hill Road in Dryden at 7:09 p.m.  Troopers say the road is not well-lit.

Authorities say the driver stopped immediately and is cooperating with investigators. No tickets have been issued at this time and the name of the pedestrian has not been released.
