Greg Peavey was outstanding on the mound tonight as the Binghamton Mets tamed the Richmond Flying Squirrels 6-1 at NYSEG Stadium in front of 4,506 fans.  Peavey pitched eight solid innings to up his Double-A record to 5-1.  He was 0-3 in Triple-A Las Vegas last month.  The B-Mets banged out 11 hits versus four Richmond pitchers.

Cody Satterwhite worked the ninth inning and retired the Flying Squirrels in order to secure the win for Peavey.  Jack Snodgrass saw his record fall to 7-1 as he exited in the second inning.

Kyle Johnson drove in a pair of runs for the B-Mets.  With the win Binghamton ups its record to 40-31 while the Flying Squirrels drop to 39-30.  The B-Mets have won eight of their last nine games.  They conclude their homestand tomorrow night at 6:35 (6:20 air on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Tyler Pill is the scheduled starter for Binghamton while Kyle Crick gets the nod for Richmond.
