The Binghamton Patriots got some pay back over the Elmira Express Saturday at Ty Cobb Stadium in Endicott.  In the Section 4 Class AA Championship Game the Patriots avenged a regular season 28-13 loss to the Express with an overtime 36-28 victory.

Binghamton was up 15-0 early in the second quarter and led 15-8 at the half.  The Express battled back to tie the game in the closing minute of regulation at 28-28.

In overtime the Patriots went ahead on a John Petrucci to Davin Young 16-yard touchdown pass.  They went for a two point conversion and Petrucci found Young again on a pass play to put Binghamton up 36-28.  The Express failed to move the ball on their possession and the Patriots had the win.

Binghamton ups its record to 6-4 while Elmira ends it season at 8-2.  Running back Eric Fortner had a big game for the Patriots with numerous long runs.
