Parades and Ceremonies Mark Veterans Day

Veterans Day parades and other events were held around the Twin Tiers to honor those who've served the United States.

The Broome County Veterans Day Parade took place Monday afternoon. Marchers left the American Legion Post 80 on Binghamton's West Side and headed into downtown Binghamton. The parade continued to the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

Veterans, musicians, law enforcement units and local elected officials marched in the parade.

Spectators watched the parade along Main Street, Court Street and Hawley Street.

Other activities were held across Broome and Tioga counties as part of the region's Veterans Day observances.
