Binghamton Columbia Gas Building Torn Down

The old Columbia Gas building that stood for decades at Court and Liberty streets in Binghamton has been demolished.

The three-story 23,000-square-foot structure had been empty for years.

The building was acquired by New York State Electric and Gas when it took on natural gas customers served by Columbia Gas

Binghamton Man Charged In First Ward Robbery

Police have arrested a suspect in a December store robbery in Binghamton's First Ward.

Authorities say 23-year-old Michael McGeever was taken into custody today on Griswold Street.

McGeever has been charged with robbery in connection with a December 18 heist at the Dollar General store at 325 Clinton Street

Former Nursing Home Nurse Admits Patient Endangerment

A former employee of the Good Shepherd Village at Endwell is expected to be sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person.

34 year old Tanya Johnson of Greene was employed as a licensed practical nurse when a patient she was bathing in October fell and suffered abrasions to his back
