New York Parks Worker is Killed in a Crash in Afton

New York State Police are investigating a fatal crash in Afton.

Troopers were called to East Afton Road at around 9 a.m. November 7.

Officials say 33 year old Joshua Seufert was driving north three miles south of State Route 206 when the New York State Parks pickup truck he was driving drifted off the east shoulder of the road

Heating Assistance Enrollment Starts November 17

The New York State Home Energy Assistance Program will begin accepting applications on November 17th as New Yorkers can apply for HEAP assistance for their heating bills.

The emergency benefits will begin January 2 for renters or homeowners in danger of running out of heating fuel or having utilities shut off

Fifth Suspect Arrested in Cortlandville Home Invasion

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials are crediting an anonymous tip for leading them to apprehend a man wanted for a home invasion robbery in the Town of Cortlandville.

29 year old Devon Williams of Syracuse is charged with nine felony counts and seven misdemeanor charges in connection with the robbery on Homestead Avenue October 4
