Regional Produce is Served in Southern Tier Schools

Three Southern Tier School districts are using food from regional farms in their cafeterias under the pilot ‘Sustaining Farm to School in New York State' program.

Cafeterias in the Binghamton, Johnson City and Owego-Apalachin school districts have been serving tomatoes, apples and romaine lettuce from Benton Berries in Penn Yan, Reisinger’s Apple Country in Watkins Glen and Main Street Farms in Homer

Nashville Man Charged in Broome County Jail Fight

A man being held in the Broome County Jail as a fugitive out of Louisiana and on two burglary counts is facing an additional felony charge following a fight at the jail.

Officials with the Broome County Sheriff’s Correction Division Criminal Investigations Unit say 32 year old Spencer Aucoin of Nashville, Tennessee allegedly got into an argument with Inmate Frederick Barns over a card game while in the programs room

Binghamton Bearcats Men’s Soccer Delights Home Crowd

The Binghamton Bearcats men's soccer team sent a season-high crowd of 1,735 home happy with a 1-0 victory over the New Hampshire Wildcats yesterday at the Bearcats Sports Complex.  Senior back Derrick Ladeairous scored the match's only goal in the 84th minute of play to give BU the win

Binghamton Men’s Soccer Hosts New Hampshire at 1 PM Today

The Binghmaton Bearcats men's soccer team hosts New Hampshire at 1 PM today at the Bearcats Sports Complex.  It is Parents Weekend at BU and also "Subway Pack the House Day" as area Subways have purchased a number of seats for the game and have been distributing coupons throughout the week  to exchange for tickets to today's match
