Pennsylvania State Police in Bradford County are investigating a year-round issue that becomes more of a problem during the holiday season: the disappearance of package deliveries.

Authorities say a North Towanda woman checked on the status of packages she was expecting and found, while UPS said they had been delivered, she never got them.

Authorities advise consumers to make arrangements for packages to be placed out of sight or to be delivered at their place of employment.

Many times, customers have also been advised they can have packages delivered to a trusted neighbor, but State Police say, in the case of the North Towanda woman, investigators found her neighbor, 31 year old Joseph Pierce took the items off her front porch and ran back to his home.

Pierce admitted taking the packages when confronted by Troopers.

He is charged with Theft.
