Owego’s Strawberry Festival will be here before you know it and this is one festival that I just can't wait for. This is hands down one of my favorite Southern Tier summer events and I'm so excited that both my husband and I finally have the same weekend off and that we'll be able to go as a family this year.

I've gone to Owego's Strawberry Festival for the last four years and it never gets old. Each year there are so many new and exciting things to discover, so if you're looking for something that will appeal to everyone in your family, regardless of age, I definitely recommend the Owego Strawberry Festival.

Don't take my word for it, though. Close to 20,000 people descend on Owego every year for this free event which features delicious food, entertainment on every corner, and up to 200 vendors. 20,000 people simply can't be wrong!

The Owego Strawberry Festival will kick off on Friday, June 16th with a block party, which will run from 5pm-10pm. The block party will feature food drink, musical entertainment, the Miss Strawberry Pageant, the Strawberry Shake 5K and Kid's 1-mile and fireworks at 10pm at Draper Park.

On Saturday, June 17th, the festival will run from 9am to 5pm. A 90-minute parade, which starts at 10am, will delight all ages. Then, you won't want to miss the Duck Derby, the Kid's Zone in Draper Park, vendors, food, a wine and beer tent and a plethora of other activities sure to keep you busy for the whole day.

The Owego Strawberry Festival is absolutely free to attend and is located in downtown Owego.
