Owego Ready To Celebrate Strawberries

The annual Strawberry Festival will be held in the village of Owego this weekend.

The festival in the Owego business district is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The celebration starts with what's billed as a "block party" Friday evening. There'll be activities and entertainment for children and adults.

A fireworks show at Draper Park next to the Susquehanna River is scheduled to start at ten o'clock.

Thousands of people are expected to attend the Saturday festival, which will feature vendors and entertainment.

The festival parade is to start at ten o'clock Saturday morning at Main Street and Spencer Avenue.
