Owego Man Charged In Reported Sexual Assault

Owego police have arrested a suspect in connection with an alleged rape.

Authorities say 23-year-old Ian Webster of Owego has been charged with first-degree rape, a felony.

Webster also was charged with unlawful imprisonment; criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation; assault; and criminal mischief.

Investigators say the suspect was arrested on Sunday.

Webster was arraigned in Owego village court. He was sent to Tioga County Jail on $25,000 bail.
