Authorities say 48-year-old Kimberly Craft and 39-year-old Ronald Benson were walking up a path to some falls near 44 Swartlick Road in the Town of Tioga.

According to state police, a 911 caller reported a woman was asking for help around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police say Craft slipped and fell about 60 feet into a ravine. She was injured and could not walk or climb out of the ravine.

Troopers were able to locate the two Owego residents with help from their daughter who is familiar with the area.

State police were assisted by units from the Tioga Center and Owego fire departments in rescuing Craft and Benson.

Both hikers were taken to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre to be treated for mild hypothermia. Craft also was treated for an ankle injury.
