Owego Bridge Replacement Project Completed

A Route 17 exit in Tioga County has been reopened with the completion of a bridge project.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the Lackawanna Avenue bridge replacement job was finished on schedule.

Westbound exit 64 was closed for two weeks while the bridge over the Southern Tier Expressway was replaced.

DOT spokesman David Hamburg says the exit ramp and the bridge were returned to service early Monday morning.
