Standout defenseman Chris Wideman has agreed to terms with the Ottawa Senators.  Wideman, who had an all-star season with the Binghamton Senators last year, has signed a one-year, two-way contract with Ottawa.  Wideman's deal is for $600,000 if he stays in the National Hockey League and $400,000 if he plays in the American hockey League.

Wideman was an American Hockey League All Star Classic selection.  He was voted the winner of the Eddie Shore Award as the AHL's best defenseman for the 2014-15 season.  He was also named to the AHL's First All-Star Team.  He notched 61 points which were tops among defenseman in the AHL.  He played 75 games in Binghamton.
