Otsego County Man Accused of Sexual Contact With a Child

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]An Otsego County man is charged with seven felony counts of rape, six felony counts of criminal sexual act and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

New York State Police say they arrested 46 year old William Bateman of Edmeston January 5.

Officials say they received report of Bateman allegedly having sexual contact with a child under the age of 15.

Bateman was released on his own recognizance to wait for his next date in court. An order of protection was issued against him on behalf of the victim.
