One Escapee Dead

Authorities say one of the two murderers who escaped from the Clinton Correctional Facility on June 6th is dead.  Richard Matt has been shot by police near Lake Titus in Franklin County.

David Sweat, who escaped with Matt and was in prison serving a life sentence for the murder of Broome County Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Tarsia, is still on the run.  Police have intensified their search in the Malone area which is only a few miles from the Canadian border.
