A Town of Union woman admits she was part of a “kingpin” drug dealing ring peddling heroin in Broome County.

25 year old Jamie Krmenec will be sentenced to five years in state prison in December.

She is one of seven defendants charged following the take down of a drug ring allegedly led by 37 year old Terrance “Money” Wise, who has pleaded not guilty in the case.

In addition to Wise and Krmeneck, 35 year old David Mikulski of Binghamton were the first to be indicted in Broome County under New York State’s “kingpin” statute, alleged to be operating a major drug trafficking operation.

Krmeneck pleaded guilty to felony enterprise corruption and criminal sale of a controlled substance on or near school grounds.  She was accused of selling drugs near Maine Endwell High School, Northminster Nursery School and Future Faces Childcare in Endwell.

During drug raids on July 28, authorities seized 2,700 bags of heroin and $38,000 in cash, suspected as coming from drug sales.

Prosecutors say they believe the network distributed over $100,000 worth of heroin in Broome County that came from New York City between April and July.

The other defendents in the case are 32 year old Christopher Clerveau of Kirkwood, who is charged with 36 counts, 30 year old Anthony Guccia of the Town of Union, who faces 13 counts, 24 tear old Cassandra Bennet of Johnson City, who is charged with 11 counts and 26 year old Karen Sadonis of Endicott, who is charged on three counts.
