One Dead in Tompkins County Crash

One person is dead following a crash in the Town of Groton.

Tompkins County Sheriff’s officials say one of three passengers in a vehicle traveling south on Cortland/McLean Road near the Cortland County border was killed after being ejected from the vehicle when it left the road and rolled several times at around 3:45 a.m. August 16.

The driver and one other passenger were injured in the crash.

Authorities have not released any names of the occupants of the vehicle.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
