One Dead in Pennsylvania Pickup Truck Crash

The driver of a pickup truck is dead and his passenger is being treated for injuries following a crash in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.

State Police say the crash happened at around 11 last night on Hawleyton Road in Silver Lake Township.

49 year old Joseph Rafferty was driving the truck when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve and lost control. The truck left the road, then reentered the road, rolling several times.

Both Rafferty and 45 year old Kimberly Mott were ejected from the vehicle.

Rafferty was pronounced dead at the scene while Mott was transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City.

The investigation is continuing.
