One Dead in Head-On Crash in Greene

A crash January 31 in the Village of Greene has claimed one life.  The Village Police Department responded to a two vehicle crash on State Route 12 at 9:48 a.m.

Officials say 33 year old Kyle Skidmore of Binghamton apparently crossed the center line and hit a northbound vehicle driven by 64 year old Danny Frayer of Oxford.

The passenger in Frayer’s vehicle, 54 year old Thomas Whittaker of Greene was pronounced dead at the scene. Whittaker was not wearing a seat belt.

Police say Skidmore was driving too fast for conditions.

Frayer was treated at Wilson Hospital for minor injuries while authorities say Skidmore was taken to Wilson for treatment of serious internal injuries.
