A Chenango County man is accused of driving drunk in a crash early March 7 that claimed the life of his passenger.

Sheriff’s officials say at around 2 a.m., a vehicle hit a utility pole on Hogsback Road near County Road 32 in the Town of Greene.

Officials say the driver,22 year old Bradley Goodrich of Greene, was airlifted to Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center in Johnson City for treatment of internal injuries.

His passenger, 23 year old Brandon Archer of Greene was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say Archer died as a result of internal trauma.

Officials say Goodrich will be charged with felony counts of vehicular manslaughter and manslaughter once e is released from the hospital and further charges may be pending.
