One Charged in Johnson City Double Stabbing
A convicted sex offender is accused in a stabbing incident in Johnson City March 19th.Village police say 54 year old Arthur Besanson and another resident of a Main Street Terrace apartment building got into an argument about 3 p.m. and both were stabbed. The other resident, who has not been identified, and Besanson sustained non life-threatening wounds. Both were treated at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center and released.
Besanson is charged with felony counts of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Authorities say Besanson is a convicted level three sex offender. He had been convicted in an incest case.
Besanson was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
