An old Endicott Johnson Shoe factory site could see new development soon.

A committee of the Broome Legislature has okayed selling the old Victory Plant site at 59 Lester Avenue in Johnson City to the Broome County Land Bank Corporation or “The Agency,” formerly the Broome County Industrial Development Agency.

The price tag for the parcel is $250,000 and the sale still needs approval of the full legislature.

The new owners could demolish the lot or attempt to reuse some of the old building.

The site most recently served as a storage facility for boats, cars and recreational vehicles.
