Townsquare Media and Mountain Top Grove presented the Parlor City Oktoberfest Saturday.  Hundreds of visitors turned out to enjoy great food, music and other entertainment. Oktoberfest opened at 11 AM and went until 8 PM.

Authentic German cuisine was served as well as Mountain Top Grove's favorites including steamed clams.  Some of the German specialties included sauerbraten, hot German Potato Salad, bratwurst, beets with maple glaze and kielbasa and sauerkraut.

German pastries and various coffees were provided by Strange Brew, 137 Washington Street in Binghamton.

A 2017 Miss Oktoberfest  contest was held along witha beer stein holding contest.  Music was provided by the Egomaniacs and John Stevens' Doubleshot Polka Band.

A number of other activities were held for people of all ages.  A Kinder Garten  with face painters was available for children along with the the Ross Park Zoo Mobile and the Broome County Humane Society.
