Norwich Man Charged With Felony DWI

A Norwich man is being charged with felony drunk driving after Chenango County Sheriff's Deputies attempted to pull him over for speeding in the Town of Preston.

Officials say 48-year-old Christopher Lorimer would not stop for patrols last Saturday and sped away.  He was finally stopped in the Town of Pharsalia but then led officers on a foot chase.

Lorimer is charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Refusal to Submit to a Breathalyzer Test and Resisting Arrest.

Lorimer was sent to the Chenango County Jail on five thousand dollars bail.
