State police say 29 year-old Joseph Jaster of Crafton, North Dakota was driving too fast shortly after midnight September 4th, 2011, on state route 2010 in Terry Township, when his pickup truck crashed. His front-seat passenger, 27 year-old Devon Miller of Bald Knob, Arkansas was partially ejected dead at the scene. In addition to homicide by vehicle, Jaster is facing several traffic infractions and two counts of violation of occupant protection. Jaster was released following his arraignment yesterday on five-thousand dollars bail.
