An Army Reserve Center being constructed in Tioga County should be ready for use in a few months.

The $15 million facility is rising on Stanton Hill Road in the town of Nichols, just east of the Best Buy distribution center.

The project includes a nearly 35,000 square foot training center, along with a maintenance shop and a storage building.

J. Kokolakis Contracting, which has offices on Long Island and in Florida, is overseeing the project. Work on the site began in September 2012.

The center is being built for the 99th Regional Support Command, which is based in New Jersey.

Tioga County economic development officials say area businesses should get a boost from the project because reservists will train at the center on weekends.
