New York State Could Yank Drivers’ Licenses for Tax Deadbeats
The Associated Press is reporting Governor Andrew Cuomo is considering making New York State able to take away the driver's licenses of people who owe more than $10,000 in taxes.
Administration officials estimate there are about 9,000 New York taxpayers who owe over $10,000.
They say it's bellieve if the state had the suspension powers, around 40% of those who owe back taxes would be prompted to settle.
