New York State Baseball Championships In Broome County Saturday

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association Baseball Championships will be held in our area this Saturday.  This marks the twelfth consecutive year the semi-finals and championship rounds will be played here.

All five classifications will play semi-final round games at 10 AM and 1 PM with the winners of each game meeting for the championship of their respective classifications at 4 PM.  Two Section 4 teams will be competing for state titles.

In Class C competition Seton Catholic Central looks for its second consecutive state championship.  The Saints meet Hoosic Valley out of Section 2 at 1 PM at Conlon Field in Binghamton in their semi-final battle.  In Class D Hancock meets Heuvelton from Section 10 at 1 PM at SUNY  Broome’s Hornet Field in semi-final action.

Tournament sites include:

Class AA at  Maine-Endwell, Gary Grooks Field

Class A at Union-Endicott High School, Pete Sylvester Field

Class B at Binghamton University, Bearcats Sports Complex

Class C at Conlon Field in Binghamton

Class D at SUNY Broome, Hornet Field
