New York State Baseball Championship Tournament In Broome County This Weekend

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association Baseball Championship tournament is scheduled for tomorrow at five different Broome County venues.  All teams who have advanced to the semi-final round will arrive this evening and attend a picnic dinner at NYSEG Stadium followed by introductions and meetings with tournament officials.

Opening semi-final round games are set to begin at 10 AM.  Another semi-final session is set for 1 PM with championship games scheduled for 4 PM.  All five classifications will be taking part.

Class AA competition will be played at Binghamton University.  Class A play is set for NYSEG Stadium.  Class B will be played at Union-Endicott.  Class C will be held at Broome Community College and Class D competition is set for Conlon Field in Binghamton.

Section 4 is represented by teams in two classifications.  At 10 AM in Class C Seton Catholic Central meets Pierson/BH at Broome Community College.  Also at 10 AM at Conlon Field in Binghamton in a Class D semi-final Hancock meets New York Mills.
