New York Parks Worker is Killed in a Crash in Afton

New York State Police are investigating a fatal crash in Afton.

Troopers were called to East Afton Road at around 9 a.m. November 7.

Officials say 33 year old Joshua Seufert was driving north three miles south of State Route 206 when the New York State Parks pickup truck he was driving drifted off the east shoulder of the road.

Investigators say Seufert overcorrected and the truck overturned and hit a tree.

His passenger, 28 year old Christopher Polomcean of Deposit was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both men were on duty as State Parks maintenance employees.

Authorities have not released Seufert’s condition.
