New York State has a new budget, one week late.

New York State Senators returned to Albany April 9 and worked into the night to approve a $153 billion budget that provides free tuition to public colleges and universities for in-state students whose families earn $125,000 a year or less, expands ride-hailing services outside of New York City and raises the criminal responsibility age to 18.

The New York State Assembly approved the budget proposal one day earlier.
