Ethics, the economy and fracking are the main issues that candidates for New York Governor are focusing on.

The four candidates for the office have faced in the only televised debate prior to the November 4 election.

Much of the focus for the hour was on exchanges between the incumbent, Democrat Andrew Cuomo and Republican Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino.

Cuomo accused Astornio of being too conservative for New York while Astornio accused Cuomo of interfering with the Warren Commission that was to root out corruption in government.

Cuomo still did not pin down his position on hydraulic fracture drilling for natural gas in New York while Astornio has been in support of fracking.  Green Party Candidate Howie Hawkins again voiced his opposition to fracking.

Libertarian candidate Michael Mc Dermott again called on voters to consider alternatives to the major party candidates.
