Groups fighting fracking in New York state are calling for an investigation into campaign contributions by interests supporting natural gas drilling.

Some members of Citizen Action and the Sierra Club are pointing to a study they say shows more than $14 million was donated by pro-fracking interests to candidates and campaign committees.

The fracking opponents want Governor Cuomo to appoint a commission to look into the donations and investigate any influence they may have had on policy decisions in Albany.
