The New York State Department of Transportation is warning residents to stay off DOT property on Colesville Road, Colesville prior to the state auction of equipment November 20.

Officials say people who come onto the property before it is opened for the sale are trespassing and the movement of big equipment on the lot poses a serious safety concern.

The New York State Office of General Services is hosting two auctions of equipment this week.

The trucks and other vehicles and equipment will be sold Wednesday in Binghamton and November 21 in Sidney.

More information about the state's latest auction of surplus material can be found at the state's online store.

Information is also available at the Office of General Services website or by calling the department.

The state routinely sells vehicles, office equipment and even vacant land and buildings.
