New Jersey Woman Calls AAA & is Charged With DWI in Kirkwood
A New Jersey woman is being accused of driving with a blood alcohol level at close to four times the legal limit.
Broome County Sheriff’s officials say they 60 year old Deborah Fredericks of Great Meadows, New Jersey put in a call to the AAA auto club and said she was suffering from a medical condition and couldn’t drive.
Deputies found her parked on Industrial Park Drive in Kirkwood and detected a strong smell of alcohol and say she lacked balance and coordination.
Officials say the measured her blood alcohol content at .283%.
She was charged with driving while intoxicated, ordered to appear in Town of Kirkwood Court at a later date and released to a family member who lives locally.
