It may not look like gardening weather right now, but fresh vegetables are big on the minds of some City of Binghamton residents.

Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments, or VINES, and the First Ward Action Council have broken ground on the City’s newest community garden.

Raised garden beds were constructed and filled at the Binghamton Gateway Homes Community on Front Street Saturday, November 19.

The project will consist of 20 raised garden beds available for the next growing season for a $20 rental fee.
