Galaxy Brewing Co. has opened for business at 41 Court Street in Downtown Binghamton.  A ribbon-cutting ceremony  was held late this morning.  Binghamton Mayor Matthew Ryan was on hand to welcome the owners to Binghamton.  Co-owners Michael and Seth Weisel have teamed up to establish their business at 41 Court Street in the former Phil's Gift Shop location.  A portion of the building was also the site of Sall-Stearns before that business moved across the street.

The owners say there will be 10-12 beers on tap at any one time.  Speaking with Roger Neel this morning on WNBF First News, Michael Weisel says they will add another selection weekly until they get to the 12 varieties.  There will be various styles including Ales, Lagers and Belgian Ales.Other seasonal and specialty beers will be offered as well.

Galaxy Brewing Company will be open Tuesday through Sunday and features a luncheon as well as a dinner menu.  There is also a stage and room for a band to perform .
