New Berlin Man Accused of Bilking New York State

A Chenango County man is accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars by filing false time sheets while employed as a substitute employee for the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities in Norwich.

New York State Police say 26 year old Timothy Green of New Berlin is charged with Felony grand larceny and misdemeanor falsifying business records.

Investigators say they determined Green had turned in fraudulent time sheets for work that he did not do from November of last year to September 2015, getting over $39,000 in payments to which he was not entitled.

Green was sent to the Chenango County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
