The Binghamton Sidewalk of Stars has grown.

A star honoring the late Russell Colton has been installed in the walk, which honors notable people from the Binghamton area.

Colton, who died in May 2008, was the founder of the Junior Binghamton Symphony Orchestra.

Colton conducted the orchestra for more than three decades. He was a Binghamton School District music teacher for 32 years.

Colton performed with several groups, including the Binghamton Symphony Orchestra, the Downtown Singers and the BC Pops.

The star honoring Colton on the Washington Street pedestrian mall is to be unveiled at an upcoming dedication ceremony.

Colton's star is the 44th on the Binghamton Sidewalk of Stars.
