Nanticoke Man Accused of Axe Handle Assault

A Nanticoke man is accused of hitting a person in the head with a wooden axe handle.

New York State Police say 47 year old Kevin Murphy is charged with felony assault in connection with the October 26^th incident.  Troopers have not said what they believe sparked the dispute between the two.

The victim was treated at a local hospital. Murphy was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
