Investigators have released the names of those who were involved in a Town of Union collision that left a four-year-old girl dead.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, the crash on East Maine Road happened around 3 p.m. Sunday. at the entrance to the Johnson City School District bus garage.

Authorities say a Cadillac Escalade which was traveling southeast struck a Toyota Camry which was heading northwest.

A child who was riding in the rear seat of the Toyota, 4-year-old Samyra Oakley of Johnson City, sustained traumatic injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, 17-year-old Jontay Card of Binghamton, and the SUV driver, 32-year-old Thomas Steyer of Binghamton, sustained head injuries.

Investigators say 17-year-old Dashaen Pabon of Endicott, who was riding in the front seat of the car, sustained a serious head injury.

Authorities say it appeared the girl who died had been riding in a booster seat and was properly restrained at the time of the crash.
