Murder Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

A Binghamton man indicted earlier this month on murder, assault, and criminal use of a firearm charges is pleading not guilty.

23 year old Nicholas Chappell is accused of fatally shooting 23 year old David Sanborn of Whitney Point and critically wounding 26 year old Jordan Doolittle of  Windsor when Doolittle, in August, returned to Chappell’s Mozart Street home, where he was once a roommate, to try to retrieve some belongings.

A Broome County Grand Jury handed up the indictment October 5.
