Murder Arrest in Greene

New York State Police say a Chenango County man is being charged in connection with the stabbing death of another man.

Troopers say Kyle Whitfield of Greene was arrested yesterday, one day before his 29^th birthday and charged with murder.

Authorities say Whitfield is accused of stabbing 33 year old James Button Junior of Greene during an altercation shortly before 3:30 yesterday afternoon at his home on Loomis Lane.

Whitfield was arraigned on the murder charge and sent to the Chenango County Jail without bail.
