The intersection where the crash occurred is three blocks from Main Street. It's just north of Recreation Park.

Patrol officers and detectives at the scene declined to comment on the circumstances surrounding the collision or whether the car driver had been located.

A yellow evidence marker was placed next to a shoe in the yard of a home on the northwest corner of the intersection.

A New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit was expected to assist city investigators.
